Homeowners also enjoy spending time at its Tavern Room restaurant, ballroom, game rooms, and tennis and bocce ball courts.
Regency has 18 floor plans, with the single-family homes ranging from 1,688 and 2,596 square feet. These have two to three bedrooms, two to three bathrooms, and attached two-car garages. There are four ranch villa models ranging from 1,800 to 2,300 square feet with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two-car garages. Options include lofts, breakfast bars, cathedral ceilings, and extra storage space.
Low $200s – Mid $600s
The Reserve at Gwynedd is all about choices; with 400 resale condo, attached, and single-family homes, there are options for every lifestyle. This gated property was built from 2005 to 2012 by Del Webb, and it boasts a sports pavilion as well as a community center. The former has an indoor pool and spa, an aerobics studio, an exercise room, and an outdoor pool and patio. And then there’s the clubhouse, which offers activity rooms, a ballroom, and a library.
The Garden Home collection of low-maintenance elevator condos ranges from about 1,400 to 1,900 square feet with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, private balconies, storage areas, and covered parking. The spacious attached carriage homes range from 2,788 to 3,051 square feet with three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, and two-car garages. Geared for active living, Centennial Station is an established active adult community of 410 resale condos about 26 miles outside of Philadelphia. The indoor pool is inside the private clubhouse, and there’s also an exercise room, an arts and crafts studio, gathering rooms, and tennis courts. Centennial also has its own business center with a bank, hair salon, dentist, and restaurant.
Centennial Station’s cozy condo units range 456 to 1,412 square feet with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Options may include granite kitchen counters and oversized walk-in closets.
High $100s – Mid $200s
Located in Montgomery County, The Greens at Westover is another appealing active adult condo neighborhood with an indoor pool. You’ll find the pool in the community clubhouse, which also has a multi-purpose room, an exercise room, a lounge, and a library.

As the largest 55+ community on this list, The Villages of Flowers Mill is an established, gated property with 675 attached and single-family residences built by McGrath Homes and Realen Homes. The property also has its own practice putting green, walking trails, bocce ball courts, and tennis courts.

The upscale single-family homes range from 1,450 to 2,300 square feet with two bedrooms, two- to two-and-a-half baths, and attached garages.
Mid $300s – Mid $400s
Avondale is west of Philadelphia in Chester County, and it’s home to the impressive community of Brittany Hills. Completed in 2007 by Wilkinson Builders, it has just 126 single-family homes and a nicely-appointed clubhouse. Here, you’ll find its indoor pool and spa, exercise room with lockers, gathering rooms, activity room, a bocce ball court, and a lighted tennis court.
